Camps & Clinics

The NHL Alumni Hockey Camps & Clinics is a youth development program designed to progress players (boys & girls) of all ages and skill levels. We provide a structured and energetic environment aimed at accelerating aspiring young hockey player’s individual game to greater heights. Our bilingual camps & clinics will focus primarily on the following essential components of the game…

The essential components of the game #1

SKATING

The foundation of the sport. Players will learn power, edge work, acceleration and agility to keep them one step ahead of the competition.

The essential components of the game #2

STICKHANDLING

Our athletes will develop their puck-handling abilities through coordinated body movement and proper hand/wrist techniques….all done with the HEAD and EYES UP.

The essential components of the game #3

PASSING

Undoubtedly the most overlooked individual skill in youth hockey. Your child will learn body positioning, stick angle and accuracy to make a quality pass.

The essential components of the game #4

SHOOTING

Campers will learn to shoot in stride with velocity and precision from all angles as they grow their confidence to shoot to score!

The essential components of the game #5

BODY POSITIONING

Individuals will be taught how to protect the puck through a series of developmental drills that will ensure that they have the puck more than their opposition.

The essential components of the game #6

TIMING/HOCKEY SENSE

Anticipating where the play WILL be, not where its been! Campers will learn how to acquire the puck before their rivals…then learn what to do when it’s on their stick!

The essential components of the game #7

ON ICE AWARENESS

Young players will learn the concept of understanding where they are on the ice in relation to the proximity of the boards, nets, open ice and opposition at all times. Instruction provided by years of playing at hockey’s highest level will enable your child to safely improve, maximize and enjoy their game for years to come.
